“The next shoe ceremony is going to be in an hour and a half,” Jennifer called out to CR. “Make sure you’re ready.”

CR stopped short, nearly running into one of the staff members. “I’m sorry,” he said to her, before turning to Jennifer. “Excuse me?”

“What?”

“Shoe ceremony?” he repeated.

“Yup.” Jennifer didn’t even blink. “We’re going to keep shooting.”

“Tonight.”

“I don’t see why you’re making this into such a big deal,” Jennifer said, rolling her eyes. “Yes. We’re going to keep filming tonight. I already told the girls, and they’re so excited for it.”

CR laughed. “You’re a terrible liar, Jennifer.”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

“They probably all but threw a fit, didn’t they?” CR didn’t know all the girls very well, but he could not see a universe in which any of them would be okay filming again tonight.

“Of course not. They’re all very excited to continue their journey toward love,” Jennifer said.

“Well, that’s great for them. But I’m not going to do it tonight.”

“Yes, you are.”

CR raised an eyebrow. “You and what army are going to make me, Jennifer?”

“Just because Donovan is dead, it doesn’t mean your contract isn’t still applicable,” Jennifer said. “The production company is still very invested in this season. The network execs are still planning to have this season air, and I doubt they would be happy to hear you’re not being cooperative.” She glared. “If I were you, I would reconsider your ridiculous position.”

“Well, thanks for your advice,” CR said and walked away.
